American Girl Book Club

(ages 6-11)

Each class we’ll read a chapter from a different American Girl book and learn about the time period that girl was from. We’ll have a craft or a project related to the story and possibly have a snack.

Get ready to stamp your passport! We’ll explore different countries through hands-on activities, themed snacks, virtual field trips, and maybe even a traditional dance or two.

Explore the masterpieces, chat about what makes the artwork unique, and then let your imaginations run wild as we create our own inspired artwork. While we create, we’ll sprinkle in fun facts and stories about the artist’s life!

Learn simple stop motion animation via an iPad app. Create short films to understand the basics, then brainstorm ideas for a collaborative movie. Develop plot and storyline with props and then film!

(5-8)

Enjoy a story that helps us explore our emotions and learn how to interact kindly with peers. Practice skills like sharing and apologizing through hands-on activities and creative crafts. We’ll put our new skills into action by playing games together!​

Speed Cubing for Beginners (ages 6+)

Solve the classic 3x3 Rubik’s cube puzzle! Learn the anatomy of the Rubik’s cube and basic steps to solve it. Students must be able to follow instructions, recognize/memorize sequences, and independently practice between classes.

Cake Decorating
(ages 8-11)

Two talented teen helpers (Viviana & Lila) will guide kids as they learn sweet new cake-decorating skills—always with adults close by for support. Start by practicing on cake dummies, then move on to decorating real cupcakes and a layer cake in the final classes!

Supplies required: 
Families will receive supply links for cake dummies, tips, and bags. Students must purchase and bring all their own supplies, including icing. No materials provided.
